More uppy downy than I expected. The first climb out of a Rheinsberg was on an ehemalige Bahntrasse, which is an easy way to gain height. Lots of woods. A puncture. A fox. Headwinds for much of the day, so there was a fair bit of “just-do-it” pedal-turning about the day.
Tonight’s hotel (built 1906) is in a wood close to a lake in a part of the world popular for DDR-era holidays. I can hear unfamiliar birdsong, and if I wake up very early tomorrow I must look out of the window in case there are deer.
Half a bottle of Grauer Burgunder with dinner. Not that you’d notice, mind.
