Valencia day 2

I hired an unoiled bike this morning and squeaked sedately down to the seaside along the course of the old river bed. (The Turia river was canalised and diverted in 1957.) So much decoration everywhere, even on the most workaday buildings:

I passed through the City of Arts and Sciences, which is just as ornamental, albeit in a very different idiom:

I wonder if this was computer-designed, like the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart? I shall no doubt find out very soon, for the rest of the group has arrived and my flâneuring is at an end. From now on, I have purpose.
