Joel & Ethan Coen, with Jeff Bridges and John Goodman
The film made me laugh, so it gets the thumbs up. It also made me think a bit too – dredging up recollections of Raymond Chandler and westerns. It had the same idiosyncratic, absurd worldview of other Coen films I’ve seen, but I didn’t find it as engaging as some.
But they are such clever, creative, highly cultured film-makers that they’re always worth watching.
