Holzminden to Weißehütte

Schloss Corvey

Café at Wahmbeck

A beautiful day: the scenery is lovely and the weather is perfect. It seems unbelievable that rain is forecast for tomorrow. There were tints of autumn amongst the trees that cover the slopes, and the roadside apple, plum and pear trees are fully laden and eventually oblige me to stop to scrump just the one.

There is nothing much at Weißehütte except for a Gasthaus with a restaurant and swallows in the barn that doubles as a bicycle shed. . . and that is everything I need. Tomorrow is Hann Münden, only 23 kilometres away – the weather forecast is my online master.
