Milton Keynes station again: “O Wert Thou in the Cauld Blast”

“O Wert Thou in the Cauld Blast” by Ronald Rae, granite

I told you the square in front of Milton Keynes station was windy, and here is the evidence. I’ve passed this sculpture dozens of times and had merely clocked it as a pair of frightened jelly babies. Today I looked at the inscription: its title comes from a Burns poem, and it’s the perfect choice.

Milton Keynes station was looking a little less dull today with a hint of brightness in the air. To look its best, the reflective glass does require a bit more sunshine than Milton Keynes is known for.
